Fiona's new job
Fiona has a new job, which she starts on Monday (June 19). She will be working for Donald Trump, at the Trump Organization. She will have an office in Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, overlooking Central Park. Pretty cool! The job is sort of an everything kind of position, and will involve managing and developing Trump's branding and licensing interests - it is pretty much a combination of business/marketing/legal work. She might post some of her thoughts as comments to this post. It is very exciting and a great position! Congratulations to her :)

is that a picture of the trump-sta himself?!
i hope this will end the visa dramas once and for all, but a trip to quebec now and then doesn't sound so bad to me anyway!
are you two heading back to bris anytime soon? i heard a family rumour u were coming back in august?

Hi Heather!! Good news - the consulate guy actually called this afternoon and told Fiona (well, left a message) that the visa is all done and fine and ready to pick up tomorrow morning. So the visa is sorted out. Apparently it was only the second of this special type (E3) processed at the Quebec US consulate. So that's taken care of - Mr. Trump will be pleased (seriously, he will be).
As for heading back to Brisvain soon - well, maybe...we'll see. Those who care about the rumour mill probably won't read the comments, but I will say that maybe one of us in August, and two of us at xmas time. looking into freq flyer award flights at the moment.

Yeah i second that - a big congrats to Fi - a prestigious and surely high sort after job you've landed there. I hope it all goes well when you start there in the next week or so.
Also Andrew thanks for the Quebec pictures - looks and sounds like a nice city. I only made it to Montreal which I liked a lot - but that was in winter and Quebec would have been colder still. Should be full of life and activity now its summer - in winter things closed down and people disapeared somewhat. Good luck with the remainder of your semester.
